Richmond, British Columbia — May 9, 2017 — Wounded Warriors Canada is a national mental health charity that supports ill and injured veterans, first responders and their families. The organization has just announced the formation of the Wounded Warriors Canadian Automobile Team (WWCAT), along with the first event for the auto team.

In cooperation with sponsor ADESA Richmond, the charity plans to auction a rare “Factory Five” 1965 Shelby Cobra at the Luxury & Supercar Weekend in Vancouver, British Columbia. The event takes place September 9 and 10, 2017.

All proceeds from the auction of the Cobra will be donated directly to Wounded Warriors Canada. Program investments from the organization will exceed $2 million in 2017. Wounded Warriors Canada receives no public financing and relies entirely on privately funded donations.
