Kelowna, British Columbia — CARSTAR Kelowna, located at 920 Leathead Rd. #6, Kelowna, B.C., celebrated the grand opening of its facility with a charity car wash raising $2,000 in funds for the Kelowna Minor Football Association and Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
The new centre is a 10,000 square foot facility that is equipped with the latest tools and equipment and is fully accredited with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC).
CARSTAR Kelowna is the fourth CARSTAR location for owner Bill Davidson, who also owns CARSTAR Mission Rayday, CARSTAR Hope and CARSTAR Sunnyside (Surrey).
The CARSTAR Kelowna team commemorated the occasion with a community event that saw hundreds of drivers stop by to get their cars washed for the cause. The Kelowna Minor Football Association helped the team wash cars, raising valuable funds for their program along with Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
CARSTAR, a sponsor of the B.C. Lions and the 111th Grey Cup. to be held in Vancouver, B.C., also surprised the minor football team with a raffle for a B.C. Lions football signed by the team. TNT Kelowna provided lunch for the team and 104.7 The Lizard helped provide entertainment.
