Brampton, Ontario — CARSTAR Brampton has transitioned to new owners, Mike Chernato and Kapi Komera after being led by Frank Sottile since 2001.
According to a recent press release, Mike Cherneta and Kapi Komera, who lead the MGM Group that also consists of CARSTAR Milton, CARSTAR Georgetown and CARSTAR Mississauga 401, were transferred ownership by Sottile who hopes that the pair will continue his legacy in the community.
“We’re honoured to work with Frank on the transition and the community,” said Komera. “What a great stage they’ve set for serving the community and its drivers. We look forward to building CARSTAR Brampton for the future.”
Both Komera and Cherneta first began their careers as CARSTAR employees, working with CARSTAR owners to learn the ins and outs of the business.
“With their employee background, they truly value the benefit of a strong employee team and plan to continue on with the Brampton employee team in place,” the press release further noted.
“They also will embark on a focused effort to improve KPIs, repair processes, facility efficiency and employee training to enhance the growth of the operation.”
