Vancouver, British Columbia — Attention, Vancouver-area members of the collision repair industry! Collision Repair magazine’s EV Repair Tour, supported by Fix Network, will be making its highly anticipated stop in Burnaby, B.C., just 2o minutes from Vancouver, on October 18.
Join us at the British Columbia Institute of Technologies’ (BCIT) on-campus bodyshop at 3700 Willingdon Avenue for a day of electric vehicle education and discussion, designed to inform the entire industry on the implications of electric vehicles on Canadian roads–and, ultimately, in our collision centres. The event is 100 percent free and topics are specially curated for not only the Canadian collision repair industry but also the B.C. repair market. And that’s a big market–B.C. has the largest EV auto claims frequency in North America, according to reports from Mitchell.
Speakers at our Vancouver event include David Giles, EV expert consultant with nearly 20 years of experience working with high voltage vehicles; Steve Elder, who has been with BCIT for more than a decade and instructs their EV maintenance course; Jim Berladyn, instructor of motive power, which includes the vocational school’s EV courses, at BCIT; and Wade Bartok of the Tesla-certified CSN Elite Express.
Stay tuned for additional speaker announcements to follow in the coming weeks.
