Toronto, Ontario — The Automotive Recyclers of Canada’s (ARC) invite-only roundtable discussion on the end-of-life process of electric vehicles will include delegates from various verticals of the automotive industry, including collision repair banners, insurance reps and automakers.
According to ARC Managing Director Steve Fletcher, the guest list include organizations like AIA Canada, AARO (Automotive Aftermarket Retailers of Ontario), the Battery Metals Association of Canada, the Global Automakers of Canada and the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association.
Representatives from OEMs General Motors, Ford, Stellantis, Porsche and Nissan will also be present.
Insurance companies Aviva and Intact are registered to attend, along with collision banners Fix Network, Simplicity Car Care and CSN.
This high-level industry event will feature presentations from experts like Maria Kelleher from Kelleher Environmental, who will speak on how the electric vehicle (EV) sector interacts with non-government organizations as well as the government.
Ryan Mandell, director of claims performance at Mitchell International, will take the stage to offer his company’s latest EV data related to the recycling industry.
Jeff Haltrecht, from Call2Recycle Canada and co-author of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association’s (CVMA) “EV Battery Management at End-of-Vehicle Life” report, will present his findings.
Finally, Fletcher will provide a synopsis of the organization’s “Roadmap and Implementation Plan for the Management of End-of-Life Electric Vehicles in Canada.”
