Prosser, Washington — February 2, 2017 — The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) led several sessions with a focus on emerging trends in vehicle technology during the OEM Collision Repair Technology Summit at the 2016 SEMA Show. SCRS has just launched the second video capturing the discussion on scan tools.
The first segment featured representatives from a number of OEMs, discussing the position statements released by their companies and what is expected of repairers when it comes to scanning and calibration. You can check out that first video here.
The second video in the series highlights aftermarket scan tools. John Ellis of Ellis & Associates served as moderator of the panel discussion.
“We’re going to spend an hour talking to you about the things that you all have available to you, through the aftermarket, as independent repairers, to do the things the OEMs talked about,” says Ellis near the beginning of the video. He then introduced the panelists: Chuck Olsen of AirPro Diagnostics, Jason Bartanen of I-CAR, Doug Kelly of CDS, Bob Pattengale of Bosch and Jason Gabrenas of Snap-on.
