Penske Truck Leasing has been a Utility customer for more than 25 years. “We are very pleased to congratulate Mike Hasinec for this award and for being recognized for his distinguished career at Penske,” stated Craig Bennett, Sr. VP Sales and Marketing at Utility. Hasinec is the 44th honoree of this award, which recognizes those who have demonstrated significant contributions and proven achievements in the trucking industry. Hasinec was honored at this year’s Technology & Maintenance Career Leadership Award Ceremony & Dinner in Atlanta, GA.
Hasinec’s career at Penske began in 1978. He has held positions that included District Service Manager, Area Maintenance Manager, and now Vice President of Field Maintenance. He is a longtime member of the American Trucking Association’s Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) and has served two terms on the board of governors for the National Institute for Automotive Excellence (ASE). Among his major accomplishments, Hasinec developed and managed Penske’s technical training and internal tech certification programs, helped create their parts management system, led the consolidation of Penske’s OEM diagnostic and repair software into a centralized database, and oversaw the building of the Penske Technology and Education Center.
