TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Untether AI is pleased to present at the upcoming Linley Fall Processor Conference, October 29, 2020. The company, for the first time, will unveil its groundbreaking at-memory compute architecture for neural net inference that eliminates the data movement bottleneck that costs energy and hampers performance in traditional architectures.
Traditional processor architectures are failing to keep up with the exploding compute demands of artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. They are limited by the power-hungry weight-fetch of von Neumann architectures and limitations of transistor and frequency scaling. A new class of non-von Neumann compute is required to meet these AI demands. Untether AI’s at-memory compute product places compute elements directly in the memory array, providing reduced power consumption and increased throughput due to the massive parallelism and bandwidth provided by the architecture.
For more than a decade, The Linley Group has delivered the industry’s premier processor conference. This year, the Linley Fall Processor Conference will feature virtual presentations that run half days on October 20-22 and 27-29, 2020. The Linley Fall Processor Conference will present the same high-quality technical content while enabling attendees from around the world to participate in the forum via live-stream.
Presentations will address processors and IP cores for AI applications, embedded, data center, automotive, and communications. Attendees will be able to view live-streamed presentations and interact with the speakers during Q&A, breakout sessions, or scheduled one-on-one meetings.
“Industry demand for AI performance has skyrocketed over the last few years driven by rapid adoption from the data center to the edge. This year’s Linley Fall Processor Conference will feature our biggest program yet and will introduce a host of new technology disclosures and product announcements of innovative processor architectures and IP technologies,” said Linley Gwennap, principal analyst and conference chairperson. “In spite of the challenges posed by the pandemic, development of these technologies continues to accelerate and we’re excited to be sharing these presentations with a global audience via our live-streamed format.”
