Toronto, Ontario — EMM will be introducing a new and powerful UV curing lamp at this year’s SEMA Show, the company announced Wednesday.
UV curing technology is being used more and more in various paint processing markets to ensure profitability and streamline work processes. The technology enables you to work faster and more efficiently while significantly reducing curing time between process steps.
EMM says it will be introducing the “most powerful” UV curing lamp at the 2019 SEMA Show, booth #11113. The Colad UV Curing Lamp can be used to cure UV curing putties, UV curing paints and UV curing primers and body fillers on both small and larger areas. The lamp will be available from 2020 via the brands Colad and Tander.
The tool is ergonomically built to cure both small and large areas in the fastest way possible. It is equipped with high-intensity UV LEDs and cures with more than 200 mW/cm2 power. The cured surfaces are said to be immediately ready for further processing, with no further waiting required for polishing and sanding procedures.
It is also designed with shock-resistant technology to resist shocks and vibrations, with aluminum housing and a protective reflecting camp. It has a solvent-resistant clear glass lens to prevent damage and output loss. To prevent overheating, the lamp has active cooling that is designed to lead the airflow safely away from both the object and the operator.
