Two for Two: Car crashes into Saskatoon women’s home for a second time

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan — This summer Collision Repair Magazine wrote a story about a man who had two different vehicles smash into his home on two separate, unrelated occasions. Well, it’s happened again, only this time to someone else.

On Wednesday morning, Holly Parent was rudely awakened by a truck smashing into her Saskatoon-based home.

The truck crashed straight into her home and even collided with her staircase.

“The truck was starting to smoke and I was worried about fire and there was a lot of breaking and crashing,” she told CBC News.

Saskatoon Police ended up charging a man with impaired driving in connection to the incident.

However, this isn’t the first time her home had been visited by an unwelcome vehicular visitor. Years ago, a city bus lost control and smashed into the front steps of her home.

Parent plans on asking the city to install cement blocks in front of her home.

“Something has to be done,” she told CBC News.
