Welland, Ontario — September 7, 2016 — The Lunch and Learn session for the upcoming Treschak Trade Show continues to grow, with the announcement of two more guests: Leanne Jefferies of Certified Collision Care and Debbie DeDauw of Mohawk College. The Treschak Trade Show takes place September 15 at Otello’s Convention Centre in Oakville, Ont.
Jefferies also manages the CCIF Skills Program, where she promotes careers in collision repair at Skills Canada events on the national level. Her career began with a 12-year ownership of a collision repair facility, followed by five years in publishing, and most recently, she was instrumental in building the Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) into the organization it is today.
DeDauw is a training specialist with Mohawk College’s Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer – Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program. DeDauw and her team will be on hand to talk about getting their freshly trained students onto your shop floor, and the benefits of hiring them.
The program’s graduates will be available for work on October 24, 2016. Program students may be eligible for an employer wage subsidy reimbursement.
