Milton, Ontario — Spanesi’s Constantino Uliano and Jeramy Holloway were at the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) headquarters in Milton, Ont., this week, where the company hosted three days of training on some of its most popular products.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Holloway led instructional sessions on the Spanesi Touch electronic measuring System. Each day, collision centre owners and staff spent an eight-hour day to acquire a Certificate of Achievement for training on the Touch system.
On Thursday, another ten students attended CWB HQ for MultiBench training and and an accompanying certificate. Both Wednesday and Thursday’s sessions were sold out.
Students were also invited to try out other Spanesi products, like the 14500A C Automatic welder. Holloway demonstrated auto welds on 1 mm and 2 mm panels; which CWB Collision Repair Instructor Jean-Marc Julien made his mission to tear apart. At the end of the day, both welds were deemed to pass the test.
The training was held at the CWB headquarters which, last fall, announced the creation of the Canadian Collision Repair Academy (CCRA), Canada’s first OEM collision repair training centre, in partnership with Volkswagen Ontario.
The training facility features tools from Spanesi, Celette, Filco, Pro Spot, Titanium Tools and many more.
