Toronto, Ontario — Yesterday, Collision Repair magazine hosted nearly 100 collision industry stakeholders at Fix Network’s Milton, Ont. headquarters and training centre for the first stop in the cross-country EV Repair Tour.
Attendees were a mix of industry members, from collision repair facility owners and managers; network and franchise reps; suppliers and distributors; OEMs; insurers; educators and more.
Speakers included David Giles of Powered EV Consulting; Joseph Chung of Call2Recycle; Martyn Johns of NAPA/UAP; and Alan McClelland of Centennial College.
“We are thrilled with the industry’s response to our EV Repair Tour,” said Allison Rogers, editor of Collision Repair magazine. “We cannot thank our sponsors, industry partners and all of the attendees enough—the day would not have been possible without you. Let’s keep charging ahead, into the future of EV repair!”
“There was so much information made available to the industry today,” said Daryll O’Keefe, senior vice president of Fix Network Canada. “It is exceedingly important that the industry understands these high-voltage systems. The time to learn about electric vehicles is now—and we’re honoured that Fix Network could be part of this incredible event.”
Collision Repair magazine would like to thank sponsors Fix Network, LKQ, Centennial College, Car-O-Liner, BASF, Spanesi Americas and Ontario Creates. Special thank-you also goes to Frank Phillips of Rivian, Parkway Ford and Fix Auto Waterloo for bringing along a Rivian R1S and Ford F-150 Lightning, respectively.
