Toronto, Ontario — Fasten your seatbelts! The International Bodyshop Industry Symposium is heading to Monaco this June for its 20th Global Summit.
“What can we tell you about it right now?” organizers teased, “Well, it’s from 8 to 10 June 2020. And it’s going to be at Le Méridien hotel in Monaco. If you were in Italy with us, you’ll know this from the high-octane teaser video we showed at the end of the event.”
To celebrate the dawn of a new decade, organizers have announced that the theme for the ordinal extravaganza will be Tomorrow’s World, Today.
A number of major discussions related to this future-friendly theme have been announced.
Attendees will be able to participate in discussions about electrified and autonomous vehicles, as well as shared vehicles receiving yearly updates.
“We’ll delve into how we in the collision and incident management sector respond to these five new dimensions,” wrote the IBIS team.
The conversations won’t just focus on the vehicles of the future—but the workforce of the future as well.
“On everybody’s lips these days is the concern that we’re not seeing enough new talent coming through,” the IBIS team wrote. “Not just at technician level though. What about the next generation of collision repair industry leaders? Who’s developing them? Those with the vision to have people clambering for a career in our industry and to create working environments fit for the next 20 years.”
“Any landmark anniversary is all about looking back, taking stock on the here and now and looking forward to the next part of the journey,” wrote organizers. “That’s exactly what we’ll be doing together as we celebrate 20 years of IBIS.”
