Vancouver, British Columbia — At long last, the organizers of the Vancouver International Auto Show have announced that the west coast’s biggest auto expo is officially back on for 2024.
The show will be making its long-awaited return following four straight years of cancellation, promising to offer what organizers are calling a “fresh and re-imagined experience.”
Set for late-March of next year, attendees of the 2024 Vancouver auto show are still expected to receive the same treatment of luxury supercars, classics and rare builds, along with a display of some of the industry’s most advanced electric vehicles.
The auto show has not run since 2019, due largely to COVID-19 lockdown measures which restricted large gatherings.
In the case of the 2023 show, however, organizers cited supply chain issues and OEM apprehension as the reasons for the cancellation—issues that head organizer and president and CEO of New Car Dealers Association of BC, Blair Qualey, believes they now have figured out.
“Following a four-year hiatus, we have taken a step back, building on 100 years of experience, re-imagining an event that will result in a very unique and exciting experience for both our manufacturer partners and our consumer guests,” he said.
“I believe that we have found the right mix of elements that will appeal to traditional showgoers and those looking to experience the latest technology in a whole new way.”
The 2024 Vancouver International Auto Show is currently set to run from March 20 to 24 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
