Guelph, Ontario — Saputo Capital Collision, the business group that owns CARSTAR Ancaster and CARSTAR Ancaster West, has announced its recent purchase of CARSTAR Guelph.
Joe Saputo, owner and operator of Saputo Capital Collision, first became an owner in 2016, taking over from his parents who were among the first two CARSTAR store owners in Canada.
Now, in just seven short years, Saputo has tripled his store count.
CARSTAR Guelph first joined the CARSTAR network in early 2000 and until 2023, was owned and operated by Georg Kulakowsky. After over four decades in the automotive industry, Kulakowsky was ready to pass the torch to the next generation of collision repair experts.
Kulakowsky’s trust was well placed in Saputo’s expertise. Saputo grew up in the CARSTAR family. He has carried his parents’ commitment to excellence forward, recently earning Joe the Franchisee of the Year award at the CARSTAR annual conference.
Now, CARSTAR’s franchisee of the year and owner of three CARSTAR locations is more charged up than ever to deliver operational excellence to the Guelph community and continue spearheading challenges with the strategy and business acumen that has led him to this stage of his career.
