Toronto, Ontario — Auto enthusiasts in Ontario have had this weekend blocked off for months, as the 2022 Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo hits Toronto’s International Centre.
Beginning Friday morning at 10 a.m. with a designated Students Day, this year’s Motorama is sure to draw a crowd as the last time the show occurred was March 2020, amid the first COVID-19 restrictions. The event will continue Saturday and Sunday, opening at 10 a.m. each morning.
A trade show with more than 100 exhibitors will be open all three days, in addition to a jam-packed schedule of events over the weekend.
Friday’s festivities include a full-day Automotive Education panel and an evening soiree with “tough and raunchy” singer Ginger St. James and her band, the Grinders.
Saturday will feature a media panel at noon; the Show Car Class awards at 1:30 p.m. and the Fast Eddie Road Racing and Short Track Nights of Champions to honour Canadian road racing champs and short track superstars.
A drag racing discussion panel will kick off the day on Sunday, followed by a Hot Rod/Builders Discussion panel and the Race Car, Spring Fever, Mayhem and Show Car Special awards.
SATA Canada will be exhibiting a booth, as will BASF Canada; Scarborough, Ont.’s Standard Auto Wreckers; eBay Motors; NAPA Auto Parts, in addition to countless Canadian car clubs and dozens of suppliers.
Tickets for Motorama can be purchased online or at the door at $25 for adults; $20 for seniors (65+) and $17 for youth aged seven through 15. Kids under six are able to attend for free.
