The People Person: Lion Electric names Nathalie Giroux chief people officer

Montreal, Quebec — Lion Electric announced on Wednesday that Nathalie Giroux has been named Chief People Officer (CPO) of the Quebec-based EV developer, effective August 9, 2021.

Giroux’s new role will see her oversee Lion Electric’s human resources needs, as well as having a “focus on company culture and employee engagement as Lion continues to grow its workforce throughout North America,” according to the press release.

“At Lion, we firmly believe that our people are our most valuable asset and what truly sets us apart in a competitive and rapidly evolving industry,” said Lion Electric CEO and founder Marc Bedard.

“As Lion continues to evolve, having a strategic approach to our company culture and employee development is key to ensure that our human resources approach is well aligned with our business strategy, thus keeping us at the forefront of the heavy-duty zero-emission market. We are excited to welcome Nathalie to the team as we look to continue to expand and innovate.”

Giroux has more than 25 years of experience working in human resources in the auto industry, having previously served as CPO of Uni-Select prior to joining Lion.
