Chicago, Illinois — August 8, 2017 — NACE Automechanika 2017 attracted a large crowd of vendors, shop owners and industry stakeholders to the Windy City for the annual conference. The show also attracted TV personalities such as Ryan Evans from Count’s Kustoms in Las Vegas. The shop is known as the shooting location for the well-known History Channel program, Counting Cars.
Evans joined up with Derek Naidoo of NitroHeat to talk about the NitroMax 30 on the show floor. NitroMax is a stand-alone system installed in-line between your compressed air supply and the spray gun. According to NitroHeat, the unit is ideal for use in both waterborne and solvent-based paint applications.
Collision Repair magazine got a chance to talk with Evans about the product, its benefits and how he uses it.
“One great aspect of the product is its simplicity,” said Evans. “What you see is what you get and in this day and age, simplicity is key,” he added.
The unit is indeed quite simple in nature. It’s quite small and all of its features are easily accessible. The product also promotes clean air and environmental protection. “The unit filters nitrogen in order to prevent toxic elements from entering the atmosphere,” said Evans.
Conventional compressed air consists of different gases, just like the air we breathe. According to NitroHeat, the various gases making up ordinary compressed air can carry impurities. Not only that, but the gases travel at different speeds, resulting in molecular collisions that lead to overspray and uneven distribution.
Heated nitrogen, however, consists of the same size molecules, travelling at the same speed in the same direction. According to NitroHeat, this helps to carry more paint and therefore promotes an even layout and distribution.
Evans and the team at Count’s Kustoms have been using NitroHeat for some time now and have praised the product on the show.
