Concord, Ontario – April 5, 2018 — On Tuesday March 27, the Automotive Industry Association (AIA) hosted its Young Executive Society (YES) conference in Cochrane, Ontario. Bringing together 62 young industry executives, the guests listened to industry experts and innovators to discuss the sweeping changes coming to the industry.
The conference saw many speakers, including Schrader International’s head of global business development Susan Hitchon and GM’s open innovation head Ted Graham.
A keynote speaker, Graham’s talk was titled, “The five things I learned about disruptive innovation as an UberX driver.” Aiming to gather something productive from such lessons, Grahamexplored how one could apply these lessons to an industry on the cusp of disruption—such as collision repair.
The conference also saw the announcement that the new YES chair would be Brandon Cochrane, a department director at NAPA’s Canadian offices in Cambridge, Ontario.
