Toronto, Ontario — Axalta unveiled its 2022 colour trends report last month, alongside the always-anticipated release of this year’s global automotive colour of the year, Techno Blue.
Every year, the colour experts at Axalta compile data reflective of trends in vehicle colour choices across international markets, as part of its annual “Powered by Color” trend report.
In the aim of creating the perfect paint to capture the wants of drivers in the coming year, Axalta has come to develop Techno Blue as its flagship shade for 2023, which the company says is formulated from multiple coating solutions and proprietary technologies.
“This year’s colour is vibrant and radiates positivity,” said Hadi Awada, senior v-p of global mobility at Axalta.
“Techno Blue is a bold contrast to the luxurious Royal Magenta, Axalta’s 2022 Color of the Year, shifting people’s mindsets towards futuristic thinking. I’m proud that our Mobility team continues to drive trends throughout the automotive industry.”
