Chicago, Illinois — In an insurer artificial intelligence (AI) adoption report, CCC Intelligent Solutions says that AI claims processing has risen by 60 percent a year, for the past three years.
This follows a claim by the tech company that more than 14 million claims have been processed with a CCC AI system, which indicated growth three times over since 2019.
The growth in AI-powered claims is driven by higher numbers of insurers using AI, wider AI use within organizations and an increase in AI-eligible claims, due to the rising use of photos to initiate claims.
“The industry has achieved more with advanced AI than many thought was possible a few short years ago,” said Jason Verlen, vice president of product marketing at CCC Intelligent Solutions.
“AI is now applied at key stages across the claims process and is capable of auto-generating a complete repair estimate with line level detail in seconds without human intervention.”
