Toronto, Ontario – On Sept. 7, QA Consultants announced it was awarded the role of onboarding and integrating cybersecurity solutions on Project Arrow, the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association’s all-Canadian zero-emission concept vehicle.
According to the QA Consultants press release, Project Arrow works within Canada’s best electric-drive, alternative-fuel, connected, autonomous and lightweight technology companies, showcasing the Canadian automotive part sector’s ability to support electric vehicle engineering.
Specifically, they will ensure compliance with UNECE WP.29 and ISO 21434 standards while minimizing vulnerabilities in privacy, data security, telematics, smart mobility, communications protocols, automotive electronic control units, architecture, and redundancy.
“We have chosen to work with QA Consultants for many reasons. They are cybersecurity software testing experts and have demonstrated their leadership with important roles as chair of the APMA cybersecurity V2X Task Force as well as a cybersecurity committee member,” said Colin Dhillon, chief technical officer at the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association.
