Toronto, Ontario — Sept. 27, 2019 — With new automotive technologies taking the repair industry by storm, the Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA) has announced a webinar discussing how emerging auto technology will impact small- and medium-sized aftermarket businesses.
The free webinar will take place from 2 p.m to 3 p.m EST on Oct. 23 and will feature Roger Francis, director of energy, environment and transportation policy for the Conference Board of Canada. He will present a “compelling story” of how small- and mid-sized businesses in the aftermarket industry can navigate the future of automotive technologies.
“It is widely agreed that the aftermarket industry in Canada will be significantly impacted by technological changes, especially at the small business level,” said AIA Canada. “As the automotive sector unites over connected, autonomous, shared and electric vehicles, it is important that aftermarket businesses find their own niche in order to thrive in this new world order.”
The webinar is targeted toward businesses in the mechanical sector, collision sector and parts supply chain, and there will be curated questions for each of the three sectors.
AIA Canada has said the webinar is intended to be interactive in nature and highly encourages audience participation. The webinar’s second half-hour will be detected to answering any participant questions.
