Hamilton, Ontario — July 4, 2017 — NACE Automechanika 2017 is less than a month away. As the official Canadian media partner for NACE Automechanika, Collision Repair magazine will be onsite starting on July 26 to bring you all the news from this four-day event.
There’s no doubt that the show is a popular draw with collision repair professionals. Our latest survey asked readers to let us know if they would be attending and what they were looking forward to the most. Those who indicated they wouldn’t attend were instead asked to let us know what was preventing them.
Collision Repair magazine runs new surveys every week, with the results published every Wednesday. The surveys are open to all members of the Canadian collision repair industry and auto claims economy. Our latest survey looks at the level of personal education in the industry and should take less than two minutes to fill out. Please click here to participate in the latest survey.
The Exhibition and Trade Show portion of NACE Automechanika 2017 seems to be {source}
{/source}the biggest draw among our survey repondents. The MSO Symposium also drew {source}
{/source}a relatively strong response. |
Among our survey respondents, 27 percent indicated they will attend NACE Automechanika 2017, with 56 percent indicating they will not make the trip to Chicago this year. However, an additional 17 percent of respondents say they haven’t decided yet.
The respondents who indicated they would attend NACE Automechanika were also asked which part of the show they were looking forward to the most. The Exhibition and Trade Show ranks high, drawing in 43 percent of responses. The runner-up was the MSO Symposium at 21 percent. Canadian Corner, the networking hub run out of Collision Repair magazine’s booth (#1774), scored 16 percent. The last two entries were Training Opportunities at 12 percent and the Advanced Technology & Diagnostic Repair Forum at 8 percent.
The single most popular reason for not attending seems to be lack of free time. Many of {source}
{/source}the responses given for “Other” essentially boil down to this as well. |
Finally, we asked those weren’t planning to go to fill us in on why they wouldn’t be in attendance.
It probably won’t surprise many collision repairers, but the standout majority (43 percent) indicated they couldn’t take the time away from the business. The next most common response was “Other” at 23 percent. The comments left with these answers vary, but one common thread seems to boil down to not wanting to take the time away from work.
Cost was the next common response for why someone won’t be attending this year, with 14 percent of respondents choosing it. A full 11 percent of non-attendees indicated they weren’t interested in the city where it’s being held. Finally, 9 percent indicated the event doesn’t meet their needs.
