Toronto, Ontario — March 15, 2018 — Tropicana Employment Centre has recently announced the promotion of Suad Dualeh. After working with Tropicana for ten years delivering training and development services, she will now be contributing to the strategic and operational objects of Tropicana Employment Centre as coordinator of the pre-apprenticeship program.
“I’m super excited to be working with youth. To develop them and their interests is something I’m really passionate about,” said Dualeh, continuing, “I’m working with a marginalized group that has been overlooked for a long period of time. To see people grow through this training is a phenomenal feeling.”
Dualeh’s most recent contributions to adult education delivery and facilitation development programming introduced her to challenging business and project environments. She has specifically worked in college settings with a focus on job development with non-traditional student populations such as internationally trained professionals and individuals in conflict with law.
Nimo Abdulkadir, director of Tropicana Community Services, commented, “It’s her passion to work with this group. She never gives up on working with youth, and I believe in her.”
Tropicana will be hosting an information session with Centennial College Ashtonbee campus Tuesday, March 27. The event will give youth between the ages of 18 – 30 the opportunity to speak with employers and industry representatives, learn to obtain Trades Qualifications as an apprentice and discover industry opportunities and what the market looks like.
