Carlsbad, California — On September 20, Pro Spot International hosted the Miller/Davis Group at its Carlsbad Manufacturing Plant and California Training Centre. The group engaged in a strategic performance session with partners from AkzoNobel and Color Compass Corporation.
The visit specifically featured a comprehensive plant tour led by Pro Spot president Ron Olsson, who guided the group through the various stages of Pro Spot’s manufacturing process.
The tour included an overview of raw material reception, forming, breaking, lathing and punching processes, followed by a look at powder coating, assembly and welder demos. The tour concluded with a walkthrough of the packing and shipping areas.
The press release continued that after the tour, the group explored the training centre with Ron Olsson and Russ Duncan, director of sales and marketing, Canada. Here, highlights included demonstrations of innovative equipment such as the industry-first Cobot resistance spot welder and the new Ergo Lift Assist (ELA), which will be featured at this year’s SEMA Show.
Finally, plant and operation manager, Michael Crisculo provided insights into the company’s manufacturing practices and ISO 9001:2015 certification process.
The press release concluded that overall, “the visit was a valuable experience, offering an informative look at Pro Spot’s operation and upcoming technologies.”
