Toronto, Ontario — It’s time for the biannual CIECA industry check-up and the automotive organization is set to discuss its second standards release of the year, the 2021R2, in a webinar on Thursday.
CIECA’s technical project manager, Paulette Reed, will present an overview of the latest changes that are part of the 2021R2 as well as share information about CIECA’s new website.
Reed will be joined by technical consultant for Mitchell International, Phil Martinez, and Dan Webster, principal architect at IT Enterprise and Mitchell International.
“We welcome any companies who have experience developing and implementing JSON and REST services to participate and be part of the development of the latest CIECA standards,” said Martinez.
“I cannot stress enough how important this initiative is to our industry. Now is your chance to be part of the next journey and the future of CIECA.”
Reed said there were two main additions to the 2021R2. “The first is a new line-item category added at the request of a CIECA member to help identify certain parts,” she said.
“In addition, an options code list was added by CIECA’s Emerging Technology Data Standards Committee to help identify new ADAS features in damaged vehicles.”
CIECA’s webinar is currently scheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m. EST.
