Toronto, Ontario — Earlier this week on Jan. 31 a truck rolled over on the 401, spilling a delivery of spinach, vegetables and frozen chicken.
Officers from the OPP Highway Safety Division were on-site, offloading the vehicle’s cargo into another truck while recovery vehicles tried to get the flipped truck moving again.
“Driver claims that he was cut off, although witnesses don’t report seeing any other vehicles in the area,” said OPP Sergeant Kerry Schmidt. “The vehicle likely took the ramp too fast and ended up on its side.“
The driver was unhurt, but the spinach and frozen chickens are presumed bruised.
