Rock Hill, South Carolina — February 25, 2016 — SEM Products has announced it has been awarded 52 recommendations from General Motors, spanning 218 distinct products. The product categories include adhesives, foams, panel bonding adhesives, plastic repair materials, seam sealers, stone guard coatings and undercoatings.
According to SEM, the company’s specialty coatings, such as interior refinish products, are recommended for out of warranty repair scenarios. A statement from SEM says that GM encouraged SEM commercial teams to reinforce OEM recommended products and OEM parts in SEM’s training and education platforms.
A GM recommendation requires technicians use each product according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and intended application.
