Las Vegas, Nevada — We may have missed the bright lights of Las Vegas’ SEMA Show this year, but SEMA360 virtual event has served its purpose in connecting the industry in these unprecedented times.
This year’s show featured much of the traditional program content, such as a new product showcase, manufacturers showcase, keynote speaker sessions and industry education seminars.
Networking was also available through SEMA360’s chat feature, while roundtable and boardroom sessions allowed attendees to be ‘face to face’ during product demonstrations and educational seminars.
While nearly every attendee would have preferred to be in-person, most agree that the virtual platform—which ‘glitchy’ at times—provided just what the industry needed to strive ahead and succeed amid such an uncertain time.
SEMA Show organizers are reportedly considering a hybrid format for the 2021 event, with both an in-person and virtual element to the show.
“We’re aiming to have both an online and in-person event for SEMA 2021, in hopes the pandemic is over by then,” John Santos, PR coordinator for SEMA told Collision Repair.
Canadian collision repair companies also made quite the splash at the virtual event, especially adasThink, Nick Dominato’s new software tool that snagged the award for ‘Best New Collision Repair and Refinish product’.
