Toronto, Ontario — APEX 2020 has started the decade off strong in the realm of events pertaining to the automotive industry when it comes to introducing new visionaries to the Canadian collision repair sector.
Taking place this year at the Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto, Ont., APEX, or the Achieving Professional Excellence Conference is an annual undergraduate event hosted by York University business students. APEX acts as a forum for networking, speeches and workshops delivered from industry and academic veterans.
Although it would not initially seem like a relevant event to the repair industry, of its list of consolidated sponsors, Assured Automotive stands out in terms of collision repair representation for APEX. While the banner did not present to the crowd, Assured members did have the opportunity to introduce APEX attendees to some of the opportunities and roads to success found in a repair group over the course of the four-day event which concluded Sunday, Jan. 12.
“Once again APEX 2020 was a great success,” said Carl Mohammed, manager of business development at Assured. “Carina Martinez, Assured’s talent acquisition manager, was on hand to greet and engage delegates from the top business schools all across Canada. Having Carina represent Assured and the automotive industry was an effective decision, as we were able to engage many female delegates on who we are and share with them opportunities for them in our network and industry.”
