Winnipeg, Manitoba — November 22, 2017 — Ted Greenwood and his sons first started serving bodyshop customers back in 1972, under the TED Group umbrella of companies. A lot has changed since then. His grandsons, Bret and Everett, are now celebrating the company’s 45th year in business with the opening of a new store and plans to expand the operations of the company and its Rondex brand over the next couple of years.
On its 45th year, TED Group – comprised of Rondex, Canada Car Color and ABS Warehouse – is looking to reach the “next level”, according to Bret Greenwood, Co-Owner. “We pride ourselves on consistently providing the best possible paint, people & performance. Our growth will enable us to continue providing better service, more competitive pricing and the best possible support to our customers, while also making it easier for us to access key markets and customers,” commented Greenwood.
To implement this, Rondex has already begun hiring key regional managers to look specifically at brand development and oversee their respective markets. Greenwood told Collision Repair magazine that the TED Group and its subsidiaries will undergo an expansion plan across central and western Canada in a bid to hit some of the country’s key cities. The new shop’s location is currently secret, but it will represent the sixth location under the Rondex brand and the 10th shop for the TED Group when it opens in December 2017.
Headquartered in Winnipeg, Rondex currently has shop locations in Winnipeg, Nanaimo, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, Hamilton and Toronto. The company says it prides itself in its customer service, as well as the products, training and service it offers. Greenwood says they’re “always trying to stay ahead of the industry by partnering with strategic manufactures and securing exclusivity on a lot of the products that we sell.”
TED Group celebrated its anniversary with the annual Ted Greenwood Memorial Golf Tournament, which saw some 125 customers and friends in attendance to show their support.
“Over the past several years the level of service we have received from Rondex is second to none,” said Jason Cross, Vice President of Gauthier Cadillac Buick GMC. “The quality products, along with the professional training and service, have given us the ability to deliver the highest quality of repairs and service to our customers.”
Adding to its year of celebration, Axalta recently recognized Rondex as one of its fastest growing independently-owned jobbers in North America, treating the company to a NASCAR VIP weekend in Richmond Virginia. While there the Dale Earnhardt Junior and Axalta car raced with the Rondex logo on the back of it, which Greenwood called a “humbling” experience.
