Toronto, Ontario — Things must be going well when your company creates a new C-suite role just for you—this appears to be the case for Danny Rivera, as the company has appointed the longtime Take 5 Quick Lube and Meineke leader to the new position of Chief Operations Officer (COO).
Rivera, who has spent the last three years as executive v-p and group president for Driven Brands’ maintenance division, and five years prior to that as president of Meineke, is a well-established leader within the company and has more than 20 years of overall industry experience to help him in his new role.
“Danny has been a trusted and invaluable partner over the past decade as we built our unique, holistic automotive services platform. As COO, he will play a critical role in integrating the operations across our offerings and driving our share of wallet strategy to fully unlock the power of our data ecosystem with more than 29 million unique customers,” said Driven Brands CEO, Jonathan Fitzpatrick.
“Under his leadership, Take 5 Oil Change, our fast, friendly and simple quick lube model, has grown to over 800 locations with a pipeline to more than double in the coming years.”

Alongside this announcement comes further news that former v-p and COO of Meineke, Mo Khalid, will take over Rivera’s place as executive v-p and group president, heading up Take 5 Quick Lube and Meineke.
