Oakville, Ontario — April 23, 2015 — Registration is open for the fifth and final Rick Berg Invitational charity golf tournament, with all proceeds going to support families living with loved ones who have epilepsy and to help fund ongoing research.
Held every year since 2011, the gathering of golf-loving auto industry stakeholders have pitched in and teed off in Berg’s memory, who passed away suddenly in April 2010 at the age of 48. Tournament organizers have shifted the site of the invitational event to the renowned Glen Abbey Golf Club — located at 1333 Dorval Drive in Oakville, Ontario — where it is scheduled to take place Thursday, May 28, 2015. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., with players teeing off at 1 p.m.
Winding down the day, participants will gather for cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by a silent auction at 6:30 p.m., and dinner at 7 p.m.
Throughout the tournament’s history, organizers have raised over $200,000 to support those suffering from epilepsy, their families, in addition to contributing to research and public education, facilitated through the Rick Berg House epilepsy support centre in London, Ontario.
