Novi, Michigan — Registration is now open for the Great Designs in Steel (GDIS) conference happening Wednesday, May 22 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan– the longest running automotive conference in the world.
The GDIS conference will have a full-day spread across three tracks, showcasing inventive steel applications in vehicle body architectures, steel joining technologies, and innovative forming methods. Attendees can look forward to presentations from OEMs such as Ford, General Motors and Stellantis, along with leading tier suppliers and academic research institutions.
Presentations will cover a diverse range of topics, including enhanced simulations for automotive steel samplings, design strategies for mass efficient steel battery enclosure structures, alternative joining in AHSS/UHSS and their impact on joint fatigue performance, giga hot stamping tailored for electrified vehicles, and the fundamentals of a hybrid stamping technology.
