Charlotte, North Carolina — The Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) has officially kicked off its virtual Convention and Trade Show, which will feature key industry insights and information for auto recyclers.
The three-day event, beginning Nov. 11 and running through Nov. 13., features several different ‘rooms,’ including a networking and engagement centre where attendees can chat and book appointments; an auditorium featuring daily speaker sessions, educational workshops and facility tours; an Expo Hall chock-full of vendors and services, a resource centre and much, much more.
“ARA has worked hard to design a virtual experience that will ring true to what you have come to expect, one that will deliver information, education and opportunity to automotive recyclers from all around the world—even in the midst of a global pandemic,” said Scott Robertson, ARA president during his opening address Wednesday.
Some sessions of interest include Surviving 2020, which will feature a discussion between auto recyclers on COVID-19’s impact on the sector; The Future of Auto Recycling, which will take a look at how recyclers will cope with advancing vehicle technology like ADAS and artificial intelligence estimating applications; and Electric and Hybrid Vehicles—a New Chapter, where Andy Latham, founder and CEO of Salvage Wire will discuss the latest insights into the safe handling and recycling of high-voltage batteries.
There are two keynote speakers slated for the event. On Thursday at 12 p.m. EST, Blake Stratton of Michael Hyatt & Co. will deliver The Double Win, where he will outline his four-step system for growing your business.
The closing keynote—Pointman in Business and Life, scheduled for Nov. 13 at 3:30 EST—will feature U.S. Navy veteran Jason Redman and his strategies for developing your own “Pointman intellect.”
Finally, the event also features several Tech Talks from show sponsors like Buddy AI, Car-Part.com, eBay, Hollander, Rebuilders Automotive Supply and CCC Pinnacle, where attendees can learn about the latest advancements and offerings from each company.
