Charleston, South Carolina — March 15, 2013 — Quest Specialty Chemicals has announced the addition of two new members to the Senior Leadership Team. Quest manufactures coatings for the automotive industry under the Matrix System brand name.
Rick Martin will be joining the organization effective March 25th in the role of Chief Financial Officer. Martin will be working to develop and implement best practices and processes throughout the entire organization, and will have direct responsibility for the Finance, HR and IT functions. In addition he will be working on the successful identification and implementation of acquisitions to enhance the growth and profitability of each area of the business.
Martin has an extensive and successful track record in finance within a number of global industrial businesses emphasizing operational cost management and building solid internal controls.
Marj Shymske will be joining the organization effective March 25th in the role of QCP President.

Charlie Van Gelder, still in his role as VP of Sales and Marketing will report directly to Marj as will Operations, Marketing, Finance and Technical functions. Nick Causey, in his role of VP of New Products and Business Development will be working directly with me to bring new products to market and on accelerating QCP international growth, with dotted line responsibility to Marj. This allows Marj and Charlie to focus on the critical task of continuing to successfully execute on the 2013 plans for profitable growth in our largest QCP market, the U.S.”
Shymske brings extensive experience in business leadership in the building products industry with an emphasis on building effective teams and successful business expansion. More details on the roles and responsibilities within the QCP business unit will follow in the next couple of weeks.
Quest has also announced the promotion of Paul Grzebielucha to Division President QIP and Dave Brunori to Division President QAP. The company says this move is reflective of the overall responsibility and success that Grzebielucha and Brunori have shown in managing the full P and L of their respective business units.
