Halifax, Nova Scotia — Congrats to Kelvin Campbell and the Chapman Auto Body team! They were the first shop in Nova Scotia to become Tesla-certified in 2020, and now they’re the first shop in the market to become VinFast certified.
When asked by Collision Repair why a VinFast certification was so important, Campbell, President of Chapman Auto Body, spoke about how he feels it is vital to always be “progressing for the future.”
Campbell discussed how he has been on a “journey for 20 years to keep up with changes” in the automotive industry as well as the importance of continuing to build an awareness of environmental solutions within the automotive industry.
“Change happens day-to-day, so it is important to keep up.”
With the previous success of achieving a Tesla certification, Campbell further spoke about how the infrastructure for electrification and EV repair is already in place in Chapman Auto Body and so it made sense to continue for a VinFast certification.
Campbell stressed the importance of building a foundation for future success by creating both a platform for consumers to receive growing aid regarding their electric vehicles, as well as for workers within the automotive industry who also need to receive a broader nexus of EV training and industry skills.
When asked what his future goals are following the success of this recent certification, Campbell outlined his goals to continue to get as many certifications as possible in order to continue building a diversified automotive portfolio.
Specifically, when it comes to continued efforts toward developing electrification, Campbell outlined his plans to try for certifications with Rivian in the near future.
As Chapman Auto Body is also BMW and Porsche certified, Campbell further discussed the possibility of reaching EV repair solutions for these brands as well.
In successfully receiving a Vinfast certification, Campbell noted both the importance of being green as well as, ultimately, ensuring that steps have been taken to allow Chapman Auto Body LTD to continue to endure into a bright and hopefully environmentally friendly future.
Collision Repair wishes Campbell congratulations on the success of this achievement.
