Toronto, Ontario — November 5, 2015 — The well-known and successful GTA-area MSO known as the Prochilo Brothers are proud to announce they have won an environmental award for their commitment to recycling.
Prochilo Brothers operates three collision repair centres around the city. The family-owned business has operated for more than forty years. Over that time the company has expanded with repair facilities in Scarborough, Toronto and North York. The company has a reputation for being progressive, innovative and hip. That reputation is bolstered by this most recent award recognizing the environmental efforts.
In a conversation with Collision Repair magazine, Adam Prochilo explained that the company’s head office in North York received the award from the local community of Emery Village.
“They granted us the environmental stewardship award for our constructive environmental contributions to the community,” says Prochilo. “We had the committee of Emery Village come out to see our operations, and we showed them the green side of the business.”
Prochilo Brothers runs an advanced, environmentally-conscious operation. They are low-VOC compliant and use only water-based paint. “Which is a norm these days,” says Prochilo. “But we also recycle the liquids.”
The shop also recycles parts that come through the facility. This is another important way in which shops can reduce the burden on the environment.
“We recycle what we can to protect the environment in which we serve.” says Prochilo. “We try to eliminate or recycle the waste in our system because waste is cost to the collision centre.”
Prochilo Brothers started with one location in Toronto and currently has three auto body locations spanning throughout the GTA. “I’m proud of the staff. It’s all their efforts and commitment that has earned us this award,” says Prochilo.
