Toronto, Ontario — February 23, 2016 — You may have heard of the asTech2. It’s a scanner that provides coverage for nearly all makes and models of vehicles, 2008 and newer. It’s produced by Collision Diagnostic Services (CDS) and works by submitting the scanned information to the cloud. CDS then runs the data through an OEM factory scan tool and reports back to the collision facility. In essence, it allows a collision centre to access many different OEM scans at a fraction of the cost.
CDS has just announced that it has selected Precision Marketing to remarket the asTech2 device to the Canadian collision repair industry. Precision Marketing’s independent manufacturer representatives will market the asTech2 device to professional collision repair organizations and insurers. Precision Marketing’s representatives will provide local support, as CDS prepares to expand its existing Canadian business with the release of the new asTech2 device.
The next generation asTech2 device is expected to begin shipping in March. In addition to launching a new mobile app, CDS has also added new features to the asTech2 device that include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability.
