Regina, Saskatchewan — As Saskatchewan’s senior high school students prepare for graduation, CAA Saskatchewan is reminding graduates that it offers annual entrance scholarships to three different educational institutions in the province—the University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
CAA Saskatchewan is offering scholarships of $2,500 at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina. Applicants must be either CAA Saskatchewan member or the child of a member, in addition to being a resident of the province.
At Saskatchewan Polytechnic, CAA Saskatchewan is offering scholarships totalling to $3,000: $1,000 for students in the Automotive Service Technician program at the Saskatoon campus, $1,000 for Automotive Service Technician students at the Moose Jaw campus, and $1,000 for the Auto Body Technician certificate program at the Regina campus.
The Saskatchewan Polytechnic scholarships are available April 1 through June 30 to CAA Saskatchewan members and non-members.
CAA Saskatchewan also awards one entrance scholarship of $2,500 to a CAA Saskatchewan employee or child of an employee. The successful candidate is determined by academic excellence and selected by CAA Saskatchewan.
“It really means so much to me to win this award,” said a Saskatchewan Polytechnic student and CAA Saskatchewan scholarship recipient. “Right now, I can pay less for my loan and don’t have to worry as much about my financial needs. I am really thankful for this award.
“Through our scholarship program, we are helping students invest in their future,” said Fred Titanich, president and CEO at CAA Saskatchewan. “Best wishes and congratulations to all successful applicants.”
Interested applicants are encouraged to contact the mentioned post-secondary institutions regarding application forms, scholarship availability and the selection process.
