Neuss, Germany – Former Bodyworx Professional cover star, and rising star in his own right, Dorien Lozeau recently returned from a WorldSkills training session in Neuss, Germany ahead of this fall’s WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition.
This four-day car painting challenge, supported in part by 3M and Festool, took place between Sept. 5 to Sept. 9 and gathered teams from United Kingdom, India, and Germany to complete technical training ahead of the upcoming WorldSkills Competition.
The contestants finished with a relatively tight point spread, which according to Cecile Bukmeier, interim program chair of auto body at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, reflects the intense level of competition at work.
“One small oversight could change the marking drastically, which is important to understand and consider when he is at the official competition,” says Bukmeier. “Dorien has come a long way since the start of his training and it is very evident in the way he completes tasks. He is focused, precise and efficient.”
“We are truly grateful to the Team at 3M and Festool for their hospitality in Germany,” said Bukmeier.
The WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition is currently running events across 15 countries from September to November, in lieu of the cancelled Shanghai competition.
