PPG names Melanie Rice as National Business Development Manager

Melanie Rice has been appointed as PPG’s National Business Development Manager for automotive refinish.

Mississauga, Ontario — May 17, 2017 — PPG has appointed Melanie Rice to the position of National Business Development Manager for the company’s automotive refinish business in Canada. The announcement was made by Norm Angrove, Director, Refinish Canada for PPG.

Rice has been active in the paint industry since 1989 and joined PPG in July 2012 as Key Accounts Manager. She is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and a certified trainer, project manager and business analyst. According to PPG, Rice played an integral part in helping build and maintain the company’s relationships with some of its most valued automotive refinish clients. In her new post, she will concentrate on developing opportunities and growing existing customer business among regional multi-shop consolidators and large bodyshop accounts.

“In her former role, Melanie consistently did an excellent job in understanding client requirements and responding to them ensuring customer satisfaction and success,” said Angrove. “She will now have further opportunity to continue using her wealth of knowledge about the industry for the benefit of PPG customers.”

Rice will be based in the PPG Toronto-region Business Development Center in Mississauga. She will report directly to Angrove.
