Toronto, Ontario — June 27, 2019 – PPG announced earlier this week that their PPG ONECHOICE® UV primer system will expand to include a handheld UV LED cure light!
This expansion is expected to save collision repairers time, creating a more productive and time efficient work environment. It’s estimated that technicians can now complete spot repairs in under three minutes when using this product.
“[This product] has been engineered to help shops save time and increase throughput and productivity thanks to the ease and efficiency of UV processing,” stated Jennifer Boros, PPG director of marketing, collision segment, North America. “We have combined high-build performance with an industry-leading cure speed. PPG customers immediately will see the constructive difference the system makes in shop operations.”
The expansion of this product means customer repairers will be getting more than just the LED cure light.
According to PPG, “the expanded system uses proven PPG advanced aerosol technology – SUA1080 UV primer and SXA1081 UV primer cleaner – along with the new light and UV protective glasses and gloves.”
The UV spray is easy to use and works best over properly cleaned steel, aluminum, fiberglass, galvanized steel, polyester body filler, and rigid and semi-rigid plastic.
