Fredericton, New Brunswick — June 7, 2017 — Patrice Marcil, Customer Experience Director for Axalta Coating Systems, will take up the position of Chairman of the Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) as of January 2018. Marcil’s appointment follows that of Joe Carvalho of Economical Insurance, who currently serves as CCIF Chairman. The announcement was made during the last CCIF meeting held in Fredericton, New Brunswick. For more on this, please see “Recruitment tactics, evolution of collision repair among the highlights of CCIF Fredericton.”
Marcil is a well-known figure in the collision repair industry and has been operating at the heart of Axalta Coating Systems since 2000. He now prepares to take charge of the CCIF with progress driven initiatives and an emphasis on communications. Marcil states that “communications will need to remain open between all business branches of the collision repair industry.”
“We will also need to ensure that we talk about the real issues,” said Marcil in a recent interview with Collision Repair magazine.
Marcil also stated that there are three fundamental elements to keep in mind as we move forward: people, profitability and technology. These three elements, Marcil continues, will play a great role in maintaining the ultimate goals of the CCIF, which are to maintain reliability among shops as well as ensure the safety of vehicle owners. “We must be sure not to compromise anything,” concludes Marcil.
