Toronto, Ontario — What Elon wants, it seems Elon gets; including a new Deep Crimson Multicoat for the Tesla Model Y, which has finally been spotted by drone photographers scoping out the company’s Berlin Gigafactory.
Musk says the new shade is his favourite colour, so isn’t that nice?
But more importantly, the images show what appears to be a crimson-coated Model Y in validation testing in a lot of Tesla’s German factory.
In addition to the deep crimson shade, the Tesla paint shop, which Musk claims to be the most advanced paint shop in the world, has also come up with the Mercury Silver Metallic shade, which was seen being tested next to the crimson car.
Apparently starved for additional paint options, as the factory up until this point was only producing black and white Model Ys, some users have managed to dig into the code of the MyTesla mobile app to also reveal that a Abyss Blue Multicoat is also in the works, though has yet to be spotted at Giga Berlin.
