Toronto, Ontario — A new partnership between Aviva Canada and AutoTrader.ca is aiming to make the total-loss claims process faster than ever, through a new tool that provides almost automatic results for drivers.
This partnership between the two companies will allow Aviva employees to send real-time API calls to AutoTrader.ca with vehicle and location details, right from the adjuster’s ClaimsCenter interface.
Chief claims officer at Aviva Canada, Bryant Vernon, said “We believe that it should be possible to resolve straight-forward auto claims, especially total losses, within 24 hours. That’s why we’ve invested in technology and partnerships, like our recent integration with AutoTrader.ca, to make resolving claims simpler for customers, brokers and adjusters,” said Vernon.
“With AutoTrader.ca integrated into our adjusters’ workflow, we’ve seen customer satisfaction increase by 17 percent and cycle times reduce by half on average.”
Adjusters will now be linked directly to comparable AutoTrader.ca listings that will help them provide accurate and verifiable valuations to customers. According to Aviva, this advancement has greatly increased the likelihood of a customer resolving a settlement in a single phone call.
Jill Hadfield, chief product officer at AutoTrader.ca said “Through our time working with Aviva Canada, we learned that customers often don’t fully trust settlement offers, perhaps wondering how these offers are arrived at. After a total loss, it can be stressful to decide which next car to buy and to determine if the valuation by the insurance company is accurate. We’re delighted that we‘ve been able to leverage having the most cars for sale and the largest consumer audience, to offer powerful data-driven solutions which provide Aviva Canada’s customers with peace of mind.”
