Toronto, Ontario — asTech Senior Vice President Nick Dominato is making headlines once again as the only Canadian to grace this year’s SEMA 35 Under 35 list.
Dominato has been immersed in the automotive aftermarket from a young age. His father, Dan Dominato, owned Paint Circuit Auto Body Supply, serving Ontario’s Greater Toronto Area–but it wasn’t until after university that the younger Dominato delved into diagnostics and discovered his keen interest in autonomous and ADAS technologies.
Dominato’s most recent endeavour, adasThink, was named to SEMA’s Best New Collison Repair/Refinish Product at the organization’s virtual event last November. The company was acquired by Repairify, asTech’s parent company, in February 2021.
“I haven’t looked back since,” Dominato told SEMA.
He also said he relishes the challenges presented by new technologies in collision repair.
“Autonomy and–until we get there–ADAS have the potential to change the way people live, work and move around the world,” said Dominato.
SEMA’s 35 Under 35 list, introduced by the organization in 2012, identifies and encourages rising industry talent and introduces the talent to the wider aftermarket.
This year, SEMA said their 35 Under 35 campaign was more popular than ever, with nominations for 2021 nominees reaching a record level.
