Richfield, Ohio — June 13, 2017 — OEConnection Holdings has announced it will add another company to its portfolio, Clifford Thames Group (CT), a data management company.
CT provides data needed for vehicle maintenance and repair for manufacturers, repairers, and leasing companies. According to OEC Branding and Culture Director Geo Money, the data they provide complements OEConnection. “Clifford Thames is the perfect match for OEC as there are numerous synergies between the two companies,” he said in a recent interview with Collision Repair magazine. “Each specializes in segments of the auto parts market the other doesn’t – very little overlap.” Money also said the symbiotic qualities of the two companies provide a way for OEConnection to develop relationships and grow into more regions.
Regarding how this deal will affect repairers, Money said, “CT is an expert in publishing and managing OEM parts information, and we believe that provides a tremendous opportunity for innovation within OEC’s core product suite, including our collision procurement, pricing and BI solutions.”
The operations of CT and OEC will function as they have before, only now using the strengths of each other to grow. According to Money, these strengths will benefit customers, providing enhanced and more effective solutions. OEConnection hopes this will help it to expand internationally and develop the capability of its service.
“We continue to look for other potential acquisitions to grow our footprint and expertise in order to provide continued value to our customers and help them grow their businesses,” said Money.
